Eye Candy

Since I posted how I feel about the twisted way Female heroines are written I thought I should also give My opinionated thoughts on how the male action heroes of the last decade have been portrayed.

Back in the not so distant past bigger than life supersized men ruled the silver screen. How did Hollywood's perception of testosterone charged fighting machine go from Arnold and Sly to Keanu Reeves and Nicolas Cage? And Tom Cruise? Are you fucking kidding Me? Frail little boys that don't look much stronger than I am just don't do it for Me. Sure they're fun to push around but in an action hero I want raw, sexual, large sculpted bodies that keep My eyes glued to the screen. If I can't imagine Myself doing all sorts of dirty things to the man I'm staring at for 2 hrs. I forget why I'm watching it.

I love Vin Diesel (but still pissed off about Babylon AD). He has the body I want to look at and the voice I want to hear. He comes off as so much more believable to Me in the type of roles he plays because he is very masculine and muscular (without needing to flex when the camera is on him) and has mad sex appeal. Tom Cruise on the other hand, not so much.

I know that bigger bodies are in large part due to a healthy diet rich in anabolics but as I never grow tired of looking at huge rippling, steel muscled men My views on steroid use are pretty liberal. Cigarette smoke on the other hand annoys the fuck out of Me, is dangerously toxic even to non-users, but remains legal. Why does improving your body = bad and weakening it = good?

When are they going to bring back that huge presence of muscle, sweat, and power that used to radiate from the men on film? And, rid this genre of the fragile wimps that populate it now?

ps I also <3 bodybuilders.

Alright weaklings, feast your eyes on what real men look like...
(also I mean arnold circa Mr. O, conan, terminator, not speedo on beach)

Dexter's back is perfection. His front is not so bad either
